Bowen’s dialogue always shines and that was certainly the case here. It brings the setting to life and can only be described as witty and charming. I also enjoyed seeing Georgie and her mother forge a stronger relationship.
I did miss Darcy and Belinda, though. They both show up, but their appearances are rather brief. I hope to see them more in the next book. Some readers might be disappointed that the murder seems to take a back seat and doesn’t occur until rather late in the book. However, the setting and new characters will certainly keep you captivated.
